The Atlantic Bay Scallop, found in Florida, actually has many tiny, blue eyes along the outer rim of the shell which it uses to sense light and darkness. Efforts are being made to monitor and restore severely depleted populations of these scallops. Lucky for you we have captured their beauty in this year's porcelain holiday ornament!
